‘The gadget is likely to move westward and along the coast of Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha between Kalingapatnam and Gopalpur,’ says an IMD report.

It has been reported in seven districts as Gulab wanders off the coast. The evictions began in Ganjam and Gajapati districts.


About 700 people, like many pregnant women, had been transferred to Gajapati district. About 8,000 people could be sent to safer areas. There is a possibility of landslides in the Gajapati region in the event of heavy rains under the influence of Gulab.


Persistent rainfall has begun in the southern regions of Odisha at the same time as many waves are visible in Gopalpur off the coast of Odisha. Most of the accommodation in Gopalpur was out. Men and machines have been set up to deal with the effects of the storm in many regions.


East Coast has canceled 28 trains, diverted 5 trains and rebuilt eight. Similarly, eleven trains were controlled in the strongholds of the South East Central and South Central Railway.


“Due to the forecast of heavy rain and strong winds, all important precautionary measures have been taken with the help of the use of ECoR. Strong testing and extensive monitoring in the affected districts are confirmed and monitored. Standing guards were stationed where heavy rain was possible. Bridges are kept under the clock. Appropriate steps have been taken with regard to electrification and signing, ”ECoR said in a statement.
