Ways to Treat Flu Symptoms and Feel Better

One that should be noted is to save yourself and your loved ones from the flu of the year to get the flu vaccine at the right time.

See this guide to stay safe from the flu year
In the midst of the ongoing epidemic, India has resumed economic activities, reopened jobs, and reduced domestic travel restrictions. This move has made the role of the Influenza vaccine extremely important for gaining 360-degree protection.

By ignoring or undermining the importance of the flu vaccine, we will expose our health system to an unimaginable burden - treating people with the flu and responding to the Covid-19 epidemic. Therefore, the best precautions should be taken to get the flu vaccine at the right time. Recent reports of swine flu cases in North India and elsewhere indicate that influenza vaccination should be a priority for vulnerable groups and individuals from business people, regular travelers and especially school-age children at school openings.

Here are 3 tips to keep you safe from the flu year.

1. Get a flu vaccine every year - Flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones from the flu and the most dangerous complications. Influenza of the Year can affect all age groups; worldwide the incidence is higher for children under the age of 65. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says people who are at high risk of developing flu complications include young children, pregnant women, people with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes or heart and lung disease.

2. Cleanliness and hygiene - Wash your hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based sanitiser. Shut your mouth when you cough or sneeze, stay home when you are sick, and avoid contact with sick people. Always wear a mask when you go out in public and practice physical isolation.

3. Get treatment if you have the flu - If you have symptoms of the flu, consult your health care provider and other anti-flu drugs.

In a developing country like India, a flu vaccine will help reduce the burden on our health care system. The Department of Health and Family Welfare recommends that COVID-19 and other drugs be discontinued for at least 14 days. Also, people who have taken both doses of Covid vaccine can catch the flu after consulting their doctor and maintaining a gap of at least 14 days.
