35% of adsorption oxygen plants (PSA) 1,222 in some
countries said. In some states, hospitals are waiting for equipment to connect
oxygen pipes, especially to the ward designated by Covid while others are
looking for workers who are trained to run plants.
Officials in various countries said the problem is expected
to be completed by the end of September or the first week of October.
Installation of plants acquired new urgency after the second Covid-19 wave this
summer triggered a lack of medical oxygen that saved the soul.
According to the Ministry of Health Union, around 50% of the
remaining plants will operate on September 15. All 1,222 factories are
scheduled operational in December.
In West Bengal, where 10 of 49 operational plants, at least
four did not work. The state government has fixed September 15 as a deadline
for installing all 49 oxygen plants.
NC Mandal, Head of Medical Officer of the Hovrah Bengal
Regency, said that the PSA 1,000 liter / minute factory installed there has
faced some technical hiccups, and there is also no patient. The PSA factory at
the Jalpaiiguri Hospital in North Bengal, was installed almost a month ago, it
did not work for more than a week because of several technical obstacles, an
official said.
At Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital, PSA factory,
with a capacity of 5,0000 liters / minute, not running because there isn't
enough patient. Other officers said that one PSA factory installed in the
Islamic subdivisional hospital functions but has not been used because the pipe
is installed.
At Bihar, only 14 of the 62 plants are running. At Nalanda
District Hospital, the PSA factory per minute 1,000 liters was assigned in
August. But the work connects oxygen to 300 beds incomplete. Beds include 14
special neonatal care units and 10 in triage units and emergency treatments.
"We hope to complete the work of oxygen pipes within a few days,"
said Sunil Kumar, a civil surgeon, Nalanda.
Bihar is expected to produce 117 metric tons of medical
oxygen every day and increase storage capacity to 310 kilograms to anticipate
the possible third-19-19 wave. Each of the 10 medical colleges managed by the
state will have at least one PSA oxygen generator plant. Overall, 121 oxygen
plants were established, Minister of Health Mangal Pandey had said.
In Uttar Pradesh, the 1.200-liter oxygen factory per minute
which was only installed at 232-Bed Hospital Bahadur Sapru in Prayagraj was
being tested. Officially plants are running.
"The oxygen pipe has also been placed. This factory
will supply oxygen in the next few days," said the Head of the Medical
Supervisory Hospital, Kiran Malik.
